B'luru to fine helmetless riders each time they cross traffic cams
Two-wheeler riders driving without a helmet in Bengaluru will now be fined each time they cross an automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) camera, Bengaluru Traffic Police said. This replaces the previous policy of a helmetless rider being spared for the day if they're fined once. Police added that ANPR cameras will recognise half-helmets or substandard headgear as 'no' helmets.
