B'luru tutor beats 15-yr-old boy with iron pipe, injures his head; held

A tutor recently injured a Class 10 student's head after beating him with an iron pipe at a coaching centre near Bengaluru's Yelahanka. The tutor, Vijay Kumar, was arrested following a complaint by the 15-year-old boy's parents. Kumar said he wanted to threaten some boys over their "arrogant" reply by swaying an iron rod and never intended to beat them.
