BMC asks people to boil water as turbidity rises in river water

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday urged the city residents to filter and boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure as turbidity of water in river channels has increased after continuous rainfall. BMC said it had received complaints from certain areas including eastern suburbs. "Water Department is undertaking necessary measures at water treatment plant," BMC said.
