BMC clears proposal to turn Neville D'Souza football ground into convention centre

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) general body on Tuesday night cleared the proposal to change the reservation of the Neville D'Souza football ground in Bandra to a convention and exhibition centre. The clearance comes amid objections from the Opposition and the Mumbai Football Association (MFA). Inaugurated in 2018, the ground is reportedly associated with over 200 football clubs.
