BMC issues Ganeshotsav guidelines for devotees, mandals

The BMC on Friday issued guidelines for devotees and public Ganesh mandals during Ganeshotsav. It asked mandals to keep areas around pandals clean, avoid noise pollution, and not store inflammable materials on the premises. Fire-prevention equipment must be readily available. Devotees were urged to dispose of nirmalya, including flowers and puja offerings, only in designated nirmalya kalash.
