BMC orders 157 bridges' inspection post overbridge collapse

Following the Mumbai foot overbridge collapse, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has directed one of its consultants to carry out inspections and review structural audit report of 157 bridges in the city. The structural audit is to be completed within one month and is to be submitted on a ‘most urgent’ basis. At least six people were killed in the incident.
