BMC shuts part of Girgaon Chowpatty for Mumbai Coastal Road Project

BMC has cordoned off a portion of approximately 200 square metres at Girgaon Chowpatty for the Mumbai Coastal Road Project. Officials said this portion will be shut for the next seven months. Tunnels will be constructed under the surface of the beach. The project, expected to be completed next year, aims to link Nariman Point to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link.
