BMC tightens water use rules amid monsoon delay in Mumbai

Mumbai is facing a water shortage due to delayed monsoon and falling lake levels. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has tightened water use rules, including stopping supply to construction sites and swimming pools and increasing cuts for commercial users. The city is currently relying on its lakes, which have very low water storage levels.
