BMC to check BP of all citizens over 30 years under its limits

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will screen the blood pressure of all citizens over 30 years under its limits starting August 15. The move follows a survey by the WHO in Mumbai which found that 34% of those surveyed had hypertension symptoms. As part of the plan, health workers will visit individual houses to check BP and give advice accordingly.
