BMC to evict 170 illegal stalls at Colaba Causeway

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is set to evict 170 unauthorised stalls from Colaba Causeway as per the orders of the High Court. Only 83 out of the 253 stalls at Colaba Causeway are licensed hawkers. The eviction will take place under heavy police protection due to expected resistance from the hawkers.
