BMC to redevelop part of Mumbai's Mahalaxmi Racecourse as theme park

Royal Western India Turf Club, the parent body of one of Mumbai's largest green open spaces Mahalaxmi Racecourse, has passed a proposal to handover a portion of the land to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). The civic body will redevelop the land into a theme park to ensure it becomes universally accessible. Of the 211-acre area, BMC will takeover 120 acres.
