BMC to turn ground named after Olympic hat-trick hero Neville into convention centre, row erupts
The Mumbai Football Association staged a protest against the BMC's plan to change the reservation of Neville D'Souza Football Ground from a playground to an exhibition and convention centre. Notably, late India footballer Neville D'Souza scored a hat-trick against Australia at the Melbourne Olympics 1956, becoming the first Indian and the first Asian to achieve the feat at the Olympics.
