Body fat can affect immunity, contribute to Alzheimer's: Study

Obesity-related changes in body fat can disrupt the functioning of the immune system and contribute towards worsening of Alzheimer's disease, a study published in 'Molecular Neurodegeneration' said. It added that obesity can change how signals travel to the brain and even send harmful signals. Researchers said the problem can be treated by targeting the changes in the brain.
