Body of Assam polling official who went missing on election day found after 9 days

The decomposed body of a polling official missing since the day of the Assam elections (April 9) was recovered nine days later, on April 18, in Assam's Karbi Anglong district. Cornelius Kindu complained of being unwell while on duty and left the polling station without informing anyone, District Commissioner Aranyak Saikia said. The search began when Kindu didn't reach home.
