Body of missing senior Maharashtra official found in Nira river

The body of Joint Director of Maharashtra Directorate of Marketing Shashikant Ghorpade, who went missing two days ago, was found in the Nira river on Friday, according to police. The police said that Ghorpade's car was found in front of a hotel near the bridge on the river. Ghorpade's family had filed a missing case in Satara.
