Boeing reports $3.3 bn in loss in Q3 as commercial, defence divisions slip

Boeing has reported a loss of $3.3 billion in the third quarter as it was driven by problems in its fixed-cost defence programmes and its commercial-airplane business. Boeing CEO David Calhoun said the company has more work ahead of it to drive stability as it currently remains in a "challenging environment". Boeing's defence and space business tumbled by 20%.
