Boiler explodes at Tamil Nadu smelting factory, 1 killed & 8 injured

A person was killed and eight people were injured after a furnace boiler exploded at a private steel melting unit in Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu on Tuesday. The police, led by Gummidipoondi DSP Sasitharan, are at the spot, searching the debris amid fears that more workers may be trapped. The injured people have been shifted to hospitals.
