US President Donald Trump has welcomed the defence pact between Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan, calling it a significant step towards stronger regional security. He said, "It shows how Middle East is coming together, and how countries will finally be able to defend themselves in a more meaningful way." He described the agreement as a "BIG, BOLD, IMPORTANT FIRST STEP".
