Bolivia files charges of genocide against ex-Prez Jeanine Añez

Bolivia's Attorney General Juan Lanchipa said that he has filed charges of "genocide" and other crimes against former acting President Jeanine Añez over the death of 20 opposition protesters in 2019. Añez had come to power in 2019 after her predecessor ex-President Evo Morales resigned and fled Bolivia following weeks of protests over his controversial re-election to a fourth term.
