Insisting on conversion not an insult to religion: Bombay HC
The Bombay High Court quashed an FIR and chargesheet against four Amravati residents accused of pressuring a Hindu couple to convert to Christianity by offering money and benefits. Justice MW Chandwani ruled that promoting religion does not amount to outraging religious feelings, noting Maharashtra had no anti-conversion law when the 2025 incident occurred.
