Bombay High Court grants divorce to couple after 12-year separation

The Bombay High Court set aside a 2019 family court order denying divorce to a Mumbai man who had separated from his wife for 12 years. The court ruled that his wife's prolonged separation, contradictory statements about an alleged affair, refusal to cohabit, and filing of criminal cases amounted to mental cruelty under the Hindu Marriage Act.
