Bombay HC upholds life sentence of auto driver who set constable ablaze

The Bombay High Court on Tuesday upheld the life sentence granted to an auto-rickshaw driver for killing a traffic police constable, who had issued him a challan for violating road rules. In November 2010, the accused threw a shirt doused in petrol on the victim and then set him on fire. He was convicted by a trial court in 2012.
