Bondi Beach shooter spoke to mother before attack, was 'going to stay home'

The mother of alleged Bondi Beach shooter Naveed Akram said she spoke to him hours before the Hanukkah attack. He called her to say he had gone swimming and scuba diving, and planned to stay inside afterwards because of the hot weather, she said. She added he hardly went out and owned no firearms. Fifteen were killed in the attack.
