Booker Prize linked to slavery; asked to consider a name change

Richie Brave, radio host for 1Xtra called out Booker Prize for ties to slavery. He said that the Booker Prize that has been awarded since 1969, for the best work of fiction in English should change its name. According to him, the original sponsors of the Booker Prize were involved in slavery and his ancestors were also enslaved by them.
