Boston Dynamics appoints ex-Amazon executive Rohit Prasad as CEO

Boston Dynamics has appointed former Amazon executive Rohit Prasad as CEO, effective October 7, 2026, to lead its push into "Physical AI" and autonomous robots. Prasad spent 12 years at Amazon, helping develop Alexa and leading AI and foundation model work. He joins as Boston Dynamics prepares to commercialise humanoid robots, including Atlas, with Hyundai planning large-scale production.
