Boxer Ankush Panghal wins gold on CWG debut, takes India’s overall gold tally at CWG 2026 to 13

India's Ankush Panghal defeated England's Dimeji Shittu in the men’s 80kg boxing final to win gold on his Commonwealth Games (CWG) debut. The victory handed India their seventh boxing gold and 13th gold overall at CWG 2026. Ankush also became the second Indian male boxer to win gold at the ongoing Games in Glasgow after Sachin Siwach.
