Boxer Lovlina Borgohain wins gold medal at Asian Games on her birthday, creates history

Indian boxer Lovlina Borgohain won the women's 75kg gold medal at Asian Games 2026 on her 29th birthday on Friday. The Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist defeated China's Bao Ziyi in the final. Lovlina, who had won silver at Asian Games 2022, has created history by becoming the first Indian woman to win Asian Games gold in the 75kg boxing category.
