'#Boycott_KBC_SonyTv' started trending online after an option of a question in Kaun Banega Crorepati referred to Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj as only 'Shivaji' on Wednesday episode. Sony TV apologised following the criticism, saying that the "inaccurate reference" was due to "inadvertence". The channel added that they "carried a scroll expressing regret" during the Thursday's episode.
