Brazil firm sues Intel for $100 mn over overheating phones

Brazilian electronics seller Qbex Computadores has filed a lawsuit against Intel in the US, claiming that thousands of phones it sold containing Intel's SoFIA chipset caught fire due to overheating from design defects. Seeking damages of at least $100 million, the firm said as many as 35,000 customers complained and 4,000 filed lawsuits in Brazil.
