Brazil police recover French painter Matisse's stolen paintings

Brazilian police have recovered eight works by French painter Henri Matisse that were stolen from Sao Paulo's largest public library in December last year. Police said the alleged mastermind behind the heist was arrested in April in connection with a separate investigation into art theft. Notably, Matisse is regarded as one of the most influential painters of the 20th century.
