Brazil reports over 1,000 daily COVID-19 deaths for first time

Brazil on Tuesday reported 1,179 deaths from coronavirus, the highest increase in its daily virus deaths so far, the country's Health Ministry said. The death toll from coronavirus in Brazil rose to 17,971, it added. Brazil has reported over 2.71 lakh coronavirus cases, the third-highest cases in the world. It is the worst coronavirus-hit country in Latin America.
