Brazil to plug illegal route Asian migrants take to US & Canada

Brazil will restrict entry of some Asians who use Brazil as a stopover before illegally migrating to US and Canada. A probe revealed that migrants book tickets to other destinations with layovers at Sao Paulo’s international airport and stay back to request refuge. Starting next week, travellers without visas will either have to continue their pre-booked journey or return home.
