Bridge connecting Saudi to Bahrain shut over Iranian attack threats

The King Fahd Causeway, which connects Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, was shut on Tuesday, with vehicle movement suspended due to threats of an Iranian attack amid the West Asia conflict. The 25-km-long bridge is Bahrain’s only road link to the Arabian Peninsula and holds strategic importance, as the country hosts the United States Fifth Fleet.
