British auto industry production drops 99.7% in April, lowest since WW2: Report

The British auto industry saw a 99.7% drop in production due to COVID-19, the lowest since World War 2, which is likely going to cost it $15.4 billion, reports said. In April, 4,00,000 lesser cars were produced while 197 luxury cars were made, of which 45 were delivered. Instead, companies shifted to producing 7,11,495 items of personal protection equipment (PPE).
