British Olympic swimmer Helen Smart dies 'suddenly' aged 42

British Olympic swimmer Helen Smart passed away 'suddenly' at the age of 42, the chair of governors of Worsley Mesnes Community Primary School, Alison Halliwell, announced. Helen had been working at the school in Wigan as headteacher after retiring from swimming. Smart represented Great Britain at 2000 Sydney Olympic Games and won bronze at Kuala Lumpur Commonwealth Games in 1998.
