British swimmer breaks same world record 2 times in one day

British swimmer Adam Peaty broke the 50-metre breaststroke world record twice in a day, in the World Aquatics Championships semi-final in Budapest on Tuesday. The 22-year-old defending champion won the semi-final in 25.95 seconds, eclipsing his 26.10 seconds world record set in the heats. Peaty has now broken the 50-metre breaststroke record four times, the first instance being in 2014.
