Broad population COVID-19 testing not always useful: WHO

Broad-based population tests for coronavirus are not always useful in controlling the pandemic, a WHO official said. However, focused testing in clusters and quick delivery of COVID-19 test results are critical for controlling it, he added. The WHO said if resources permit, people exposed to coronavirus should be tested even if they don't show immediate symptoms of infection.
