Bruno Guimarães becomes first Brazil player in 40 years to miss World Cup penalty in normal time
Brazil midfielder Bruno Guimarães became the first Brazil player in 40 years to miss a World Cup penalty in normal time after Norway goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland saved his spot-kick in their Round of 16 match. The previous such miss by Brazil came when Zico failed to convert against France in the 1986 quarter-final. Brazil lost 1-2 to Norway.
