BSF thwarts gold smuggling attempt, seizes contraband worth ₹1cr

The Border Security Force (BSF) has apprehended an Indian national attempting to transport a substantial quantity of gold across the India-Bangladesh border in West Bengal’s Nadia district. A thorough search of the apprehended individual led to the discovery of six gold biscuits. The seized contraband, weighing a total of 700 grams, carries an estimated market valuation of roughly ₹1 crore.
