State-run telecom company BSNL is likely to cut its 3G data rates by at least 50% once the next phase of its network expansion is completed. BSNL currently offers 1 GB of 3G data for Rs 175 and 2GB for Rs 251. Its phase 7 network expansion plan worth Rs 4,800 crore is expected to be complete by June'15.
