Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Viasat have joined forces and successfully tested Direct-to-Device (D2D) technology, enabling seamless satellite connectivity for Android and iOS devices, including smartwatches and cars. Without relying on mobile towers, this innovation allows the devices to communicate directly with satellites which would enhance connectivity in remote areas.
