BTS singer Jin begins mandatory military service in South Korea

BTS band's oldest member Jin began his 18 months of mandatory military service at a frontline South Korean boot camp on Tuesday. Fans gathered outside the camp to meet the 30-year-old singer, but he didn't meet them. Six other BTS members will join the military in the coming years, leading to their band taking a hiatus for a few years.
