Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, former CM of West Bengal, passes away at 80

Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, the former CM of West Bengal, passed away on Thursday morning in Kolkata at the age of 80, his son Suchetan Bhattacharya has confirmed. Bhattacharjee was the Chief Minister of the state from 2000 to 2011. He was suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and other age-related ailments and was hospitalised several times in the last few years.
