Budget 2026 will likely be defence-centric: Experts

India's defence sector is likely to receive heightened focus again in the upcoming Union Budget 2026-27, according to experts. Brokerages and rating agencies forecast a double-digit rise in allocations amid rising geopolitical uncertainty. Budget 2025-26 allocated ₹6,81,210.27 crore to Defence Ministry, representing a 9.5% increase from the previous year. Budget will be presented on February 1.
