Budget hikes electronics component scheme's outlay to ₹40,000 cr

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman hiked the outlay for the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme to ₹40,000 crore in the Union Budget 2026. Launched in 2025, with an outlay of ₹22,919 crore, the scheme already has investment commitments double the target, she said. The hike will help in capitalising on this momentum, she added.
