Builder fined ₹5 cr after 200 people fall ill due to contaminated water at Noida society

The Greater Noida Authority imposed a fine of over ₹5 crore on builder of Supertech Eco Village 2 society after over 200 people fell ill earlier this month after drinking contaminated water. The most affected by the water contamination were children. The residents claimed that contaminated water was supplied to several towers after recent cleaning of a society water tank.
