Builder fined ₹100 crore for violating green norms in Gurugram

The Central Pollution Control Board has ordered Ansal Properties and Infrastructure Limited, a real estate firm, to pay ₹100 crore as compensation for allegedly violating environmental norms in a Gurugram project. In a September 2018 order, the National Green Tribunal had flagged encroachment of parks, illegal extraction and supply of groundwater and absence of a sewerage treatment plant etc.
