Builders can't use insolvency to dodge lawsuits of homebuyers: SC

The Supreme Court has ruled that insolvency proceedings do not shield promoters and directors of real estate companies from legal action by homebuyers. It clarified that the moratorium applies only to the corporate debtor, not individuals behind the company. The ruling came while hearing homebuyers' challenge to a stay on complaints against Mantri Technology Constellation's promoters.
