Bumble, once valued at $14 bn, sold to India-origin entrepreneur's firm for $1.3 bn
Bumble has been acquired by investment firm Ithaca Holdings, founded by India-origin entrepreneur Ravi Gupta and John Hegeman, for $1.3 billion in a deal to take the dating app private. The company, once valued at $14 billion after its 2021 listing, has struggled to revive growth amid changing dating habits. Gupta and Hegeman will become Bumble's co-CEOs following the takeover.
