Businesses may not survive if people stop buying gold: K'taka jewellers on PM's appeal

Karnataka jewellers, reacting to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal urging citizens to not buy gold for a year to help conserve foreign exchange reserves, said many small businesses will not survive if customers stop buying gold. "We are already under pressure because of the high gold prices and reduced customer spending," a Mysuru-based jeweller said.
